It's back again for 2026, welcome to the Biggest Concurrent UK Film Photowalk of the year!

What you will see with this ticket:
We'll be meeting at the Mahatma Gandhi Statue outside Manchester Cathedral before setting off on a wander through some of Manchester's most iconic streets. We'll start with a look inside the cathedral (subject to access on the day), where you'll find dramatic architecture, interesting details, and plenty of opportunities to play with light and shadow.
From there we'll stop by Chetham's Library, one of the city's oldest and most atmospheric buildings, before making our way past The Printworks and into the heart of the Northern Quarter.
As we weave through the streets towards Stevenson Square, expect everything from street art and independent shopfronts to candid street scenes and hidden details that are easy to miss when you're rushing through the city.
We'll then leave the crowds behind and head towards Piccadilly Basin, following the Rochdale Canal towpath towards New Islington Marina. This stretch offers a completely different side of Manchester, with calm waters, reflections, old industrial buildings, and plenty of space to slow down and compose your shots.
We'll finish in Ancoats, where historic mills, red-brick warehouses, and the mix of old and new Manchester make for a fitting end to the walk.
Please be aware that this route includes some accessibility considerations. There are stairs at certain points along the walk, particularly around Piccadilly Basin, and some sections of the Rochdale Canal towpath can be narrow, uneven, and cobbled underfoot.
If you have any specific accessibility requirements or would like to discuss any adjustments before the event, please get in touch and we'll do our best to accommodate them where possible.

*Please note that these will be handed out by Photowalk Leaders at the start of the event and NOT sent out in advance
**Important notes on the included Film Processing package
The included development and scanning only applies if you hand the roll of film back to your Photowalk leader at the end of the event, for consolidated sending back to our lab. We expect you to have finished one roll of film during the walk, and probably be halfway through the second!
If you haven't finished your first roll of film at the end of the walk - or you want to send in extra rolls of film - then please place a separate processing order through our lab at your earliest convenience.
The development will be: Colour 35mm, Standard Scans, Correct and Rotate editing package. If you wish for different options for your film please talk to the lab after the event and they'll be happy to arrange, and charge for any difference.
You will have the opportunity to order prints from your film after seeing the scans - this service is not included in the development package.
†A Black Colour camera will be provided, though this is dependant on stocks and colours may vary on the day.
Competition
We will run a competition - judged by our partners - for the best film photo taken on the day 🏆 So please bring your creative minds and favourite cameras for a chance to win serious goodies.
