Lovely film for a walk around in the New Forest in the height of Autumn. You get really bold Blues, verdant Greens, but the browns and reds really get accentuated by the lower sun and darker shadows. A MUST-HAVE film for beginners or casual shooters - also, I shot these at box speed and they came out as anticipated.

Good all rounder, great for street photography
Good all rounder, great for street photography. The colours are slightly darker than Gold, but I like it for street photography. 400 ISO will be good for winter! Great film, but good value. Some other films (gold/colorplus) are better value in my opinion. But I do love this film!

Favourite film!
I love this film - definitely a great all rounder. I'm a complete beginner to film photography - only just getting into SLR cameras, but I've used Gold lots of times alongside other Kodak films, it's definitely the best. I love the colours. Great film and great value.

Reliable film with a timeless look
I always try to keep some Tri-X in stock, as it always just works. It costs a little more than HP-5 but I find I usually prefer the results by about the same difference. It can come out grainy, but it's a "nice grain" if that makes sense. I've occasionally pushed it to 800 without much difference in results, and I believe it can go much higher if needed.

Not bad budget film
Not bad budget film option but i do think it's worth forking out the extra few pounds for the ultramax as I much prefer the colour and clarity. Ideal for point and shoots or casual travel photography

Good cheaper film
Good cheaper film, very dynamic with quite vibrant colours and a lot of atmosphere, perfect all-rounder stock
Great film, easy to use and frequently produces wonderful results if I dont mess up. Good colours and very reliable, always have some in as I find it the colour film I tend to reach for whenever I'm not certain what the conditions are going to be like.
