Lots of scratches and dust, but it adds to its charm.

As the title says, this film has a ton of scratches and dust that I know aren't a result of anything to do with my camera or lab. However, I like these "flaws". This isn't a perfect B&W stock, but perfect is boring. This film is great, and I'm definitely gonna shoot it again.

Gathering Leaves

Beautiful packaging, but would the contents and the results live up to the initial promise? As it happens, they did. Yoru 400 reminded me a lot of Fuji Neopan 400, 90s and 00s favourite of mine. It sat somewhere between the more traditional emulsions like Tri-.X and the newer T-grain materials.
A sunny day in Edinburgh and a visit to Jupiter Artland offered a wide range of lighting conditions and subject matter to test the Yoru 400. It delivered good rich blacks and held detail well in the highlightt-can't wait to try it with 510 Pyro. More rolls will definitely be finding their way into my bag in the run-up to Christmas ( oh I wish it could be analogue every day).

The contrast is lush and makes whites pop really hard! I am really glad I tried this film and will definitely be ordering again

Lots of artifacts

I liked the results in some of the photos I got out of this roll, but there are artifacts all over them. Seems to need a lot of light.

Deep

This very much grainless look but still quite looks shot on film. It has very deep blacks, because of that photos look even more contrast-y than ever. It's quite versatile film. You can shoot it for portraits, architecture, landscapes - it nails them all. Do recommend to check this out.
