Very nostalgic

If you execute it right, you will get great results. As for me, it was very vintage, grungy and nostalgic. Not what I exactly expected but it looks pretty cool. Will try again in proper way.

Simply stunning

This is my first roll of slide film and I am blown away by the results. Although the highlights tend to lean towards a magenta shift, in the right setting this can create beautiful photographs.

My favourite slide film

This is my favourite slide film. The colours are beautiful. It is slightly more saturated than Ektachrome, but a little less forgiving, so be sure to expose for those highlights otherwise photos can get blown out. There is a very distinct look to photos, just like old school slide film from the 80s/90s. The only bad thing is the price nowadays and the uncertainty of production. Stock up if you see this at a reasonable price.

Makes good Viewmaster reels

Most recently I have used this film with a Viewmaster camera so it's tricky to show the images it produces as you need to view the reels with a viewer. I feel that the film is quite forgiving as even without using a light meter and instead relying on the dubious aperture/shutter system built into the camera (which is based upon the tones of the subject and the weather) the pictures still come out well. I wasn't being careful to adjust to the conditions at all to be honest, and the majority were correctly exposed.

A slide film that delivers

Provia is a great slide film. Colours are wonderful, saturation just right, and the dynamic range is not that bad. Shooting provia during golden hour is a good recipe for wonderful pictures, but even during the day it can work perfectly well. Matrix exposure can do a good job when the light isn't too harsh, otherwise sticking the brightest point of the picture to +1 EV works for me. A bit on the pricey side of things, but careful shooting mitigates that issue. Practically no grain, but as a consequence the low speed becomes an issue sometime. I haven't tried pushing it.
Worth using a calibrated scanner for scanning to get the most out of this film.
