Wonderful colour film

I took Ektar 35mm on holiday to the Costa Del Sol with my Canon 3000N and wanted to film colourful scenes on the beach. I am really pleased with the results, the vibrancy of the colour rendition was excellent and the general resolution very good. I shot in aperture priority and I think some were slightly over exposed but that did give rich colours. The phone shots for comparison insipid and had a manufactured look about them, hard to describe. My phone is an expensive one so the camera is quite good on occasions especially B/W but even then Ilford Ortho 80 is very difficult to improve on.

Great film with vibrant colours.

Good file for landscapes, sunsets and people so long as it's not full on portraits. Yes, it can makes people's skin tones more red/pink than usual, but it's not too off putting in general photos.

For photographers seeking vibrant colours

Images with Kodak Ektar 100 35mm usually have vibrant colours, especially the blues and greens, and great sharpness. Its ultra-fine grain and ISO 100 rating results in beautiful detail with well-balanced contrast. It’s ideal for landscapes but I also enjoy using it for portraits. A must-try for film lovers!
