Took a few shots in December around London and the local area. The light leaks are completely random but that was half the fun. I didn't expect much but ended up with some really great photos and I'd buy this again. Very nostalgic and creative.

What a gorgeous film. I love pre-exposed films with light leaks, and I think this is my favourite. It seems to have been exposed very carefully and thoughtfully, with the leaks vary rarely (if ever) obscuring the middle of the image. Instead, the leaks mostly come to frame your shots in a really complementary way.

Picking my favourite shots to upload with this review was a challenge, I really loved all of them.

What an interesting curiosity. It pretty much functions like your typical colour film, except with added red light leak effect. If you're looking into making your pictures interesting, dubblefilm has plenty options for that.

P.S. I got this roll accidentally double exposed. It's not part of the effect.

Light leaks are cool. They are also a pain to reproduce without ruining whole frames. Ergo, having a film which is pre-leaked should be great fun to experiment with!

Unfortunately, the results I had with Solar 200 were... ehh, underwhelming. There were a few frames that turned out really nicely, but for most of them there was just a tiny, soft touch of red. One of the rolls barely had any 'leaks' at all. On top of that, the rolls are effectively just Kodacolor 200 or similar (the label for Solar was stuck on top of the original can) - so paying almost twenty quid a roll for this effect seems like a stretch. I would save yer cash and just buy an old banger camera to get leaks.

Has all the great colour rendering of the classic, colour plus 200, but the light leaks/flaring on the film gives a fantastic nostalgic effect. Even though you can't predict where the light leaks will be, you can try and centre your subject in the frame and the effect tends to be on the outside of the frame, but even if it does cover your subject then they are subtle enough to become some happy accidents.
A great film for someone trying something new with colour film

This film definitely has a candy like feel to the colours, especially when exposing a bright sky. Definitely not for the everyday photographers but brilliant for someone who wants a more creative output.

I used this film in bright natural light and i think the 'solar' effect performed very well and was subtle enough to see the subject. However, I didn't love how blue/green the final images appeared, making the overall vibe of the photos not as sunny and golden as i would have liked (although this could have been due to the developing/processing). Still a fun film which produced consistent results to spice up ur prom photos!

works well with evening light; lovely melancholy solar flares + quite contemplative effect - some pictures came out surprisingly pleasing to look longer than usual.

Usually not a huge fan of the dubblefilm stocks, but having been given an opportunity to shoot it, I did not pass it up. Some shots turned out better than others, enjoyed the process of seeing my scans for the first time, since most of the time they were not what i envisioned

I was super impressed with this film as I wasn't sure how the solar flares were going to come out. They were mostly around the edges of each frame which created a cute effect. Probably best used on a sunny day.

Quite a fun film if you want some different / more artsy shots.
Some frames are a bit more leaked than the others which is nice. It is definitely more noticeable in darker shots.
Definitely worth it if you like the element of surprise!

This film produces images with red light leaks, perfect for experimental photographers. The light leaks do become more noticeable in low lighting, however, I would definitely shoot using this film again!

It's a film that gives you purposeful light leaks! I'm a fan of the unusual and unpredictable - I had a lot of fun with this film. This film, and just like any experimental film, can be a bit hard to shoot at times. You may not want to shoot a whole roll with light leaks on every photo. That's the only drawback in my opinion, however, I really enjoyed this film.

This film gives you blotches of red on your film like you've accidentally opened your camera with the film still inside. Some people go to great lengths to get this effect but with this film you don't have to because it does it for you! Normal colour film with light leaks and colours that you usually can't get without risking your films safety, it's subtle and non obtrusive aswell!

Having used a couple of pre exposed coloured films, this is without doubt the best I have used. The 'light leaks' are totally random and in no way look repetitive. This film works very well on bright sunny days as the red effect shows really well against a blue sky.

I would highly recommend this film to anyone interested in creative colour photography.
