Rollei Infrared is the optimum creative tool, this 35mm film can be shot in two different ways.
First - as a straight black and white film ISO 400, with a slight ghostly result due to the infrared sensitivity. Alternatively you pair it with a deep red filter to disproportionately focus on the IR spectrum!
Trees will be bright white, people will glow, the sky will be dark black, and you will be rewarded with some of the most dramatic images straight out of the camera. Note that this will increase the necessary exposure significantly (it will respond at sensitivity of ~ISO 12-25)
As a company Rollei is most famous for it's cameras - particularly the iconic twin-lens Rolleiflex - but this German-based company founded in 1920 has also had a long history of making B&W films. Unfortunately the parent company didn't survive the digital revolution of the 90s/00s but the brand survives today under licence to AgfaPhoto - who continue to support emulsions old and new.

Finally decided to have a go of infrared, and this is a perfect gateway film. Still very much learning, after running two rolls through a Pentax ME Super, with a fairly basic 50mm lens (looking to get a wider, sharper lens) and a 720nm filter.
Takes a little while to understand which surfaces are going to reflect IR, and that the camera metering is only a very rough guide. Came back to find more, only to see it was sold out. That I was disappointed tells you that I really did like this film. Going to try to Rollei 200 instead, so I've got a comparison.
Developed at home in a tank, so won't get professional results, but it's a really easy film to handle, going onto the reel with no issues, and it dries incredibly quickly. And even more, for scanning (just dSLR and light pad), once dry it doesn't seem to want to curly that much.

Stunning even with short exposure time
First time using IR film. Used a Hoya r72 on a Olympus OM101. Wasn't able to change the exposure time or account for IR focus adjustment, so what I got were slightly underexposed, low contrast images with somewhat of a tilt-shift effect at times. Despite these barriers I was still stunned by the eerieness of the images. I have experimented with digitally colourising these in post and they produce otherworldly day-for-night type shots.

Amazing
I shot it without any filter and results still turned out to be amazing. So beautifully haunting and gothic. The contrast. Deep blackness. It's so ravishing.

Great film
With the right IR filter you can get some great shots. Clouds and springtime leaves look amazing.
