Stunning results possible

I previously gave this film a middling review, as I felt it a bit costly and inferior to alternatives like Adox HR50. I take it back. In 35mm format, you can achieve excellent results with an IR filter. just watch the developer. It likes Xtol-like developers (I used one by Bellini). It does NOT like caffenol.

Cool vibe

Cool to use but I didn’t use a filter

Very impressed

I was surprised, in the best possible way when I received the scans for this roll of film. I had taken it in my bag as my back up roll, I prefer to shoot with colour most of the time and had kept this for a rainy day, but the contrast, grain and detail in the shadows blew my mind a little, and the scans hardly needed any editing. I'd definitely buy again. I may have even captured a ghost on one image shot in a 12th Century castle, where there is a suspect light orb trail!

Stunning effects with R72 filter

Cheapest and in my opinion the best monochrome IR film on the market. It has a nice pounchy grain structure and great wood effect, but does lack details in the midtones which can work in your favour depending on the effect you are looking to achieve.

Potentially great

My first roll of this. I used a red filter on the entire roll, and in hindsight I should have taken a few shots without it to see a true comparison. Saying that, when it works it's great, but a lot of the time I was a little underwhelmed. Takes a bit of practise and getting used to, I would say.
