Reto Pano 35mm Reloadable Film Camera

After one roll of Kodak Gold shot on two days of opposite weather, this is a camera I can carry around town to satisfy my street photography habit. It's a camera I didn't mind getting wet, it's single aperture and shutter speed worked just as well in the rain as it did in the sunshine and the Pano mask is fun to play with too.

Fun lightweight and some great results for a point and shoot. I wasn't expecting much but it came up with some great results. Very worthwhile experimenting with 'Panorama'. Best results in bright sunlight and unusual angles......

This is a fun, easy camera. I took it travelling in SE Asia with me as it is light and compact so can be carried around easily. I shot all my frames on the panorama setting and for the most part they turned out great. User error on not turning the flash on for some frames meant some shots were lost but when the flash was used it was plenty bright and gave a quirky retro feel. It is a great camera for city scapes. I used mostly Kodak Gold 200 and that came out well in bright sunlight and it held up in the heat of SE Asia.

The only negative is due to its pano setting it has a wide lens which is generally really fun but you cannot tell if your fingers are in the shot so be sure to hold it on the edges as even if your fingers aren’t in the viewfinder they may creep into the final frame.

I bought this to experiment with the panorama feature, to get more of an 'artists' eye view of the landscape. Really pleased with the results.

I purchased the Reto Pano to try out film photography and loved the results I achieved with the camera. I used Kentmere Pan 400 film and the quality of the images were even better than I expected. This is a great entry level camera which is easy to use. The Panorama mode (just black bars that give the panorama effect) are a nice little touch, which is in my opinion more than just a gimmick. The flash and the lens cover are great and add to the value for money.

Don't expect miracles from this camera, you won't get them! I would describe it as one step up from a disposable camera, but it IS cheap and light. The pano feature is a crop, it's not a true pano camera, but it's a great way to get used to visualising panoramic aspect ratios before buying a panoramic camera (which are usually pretty expensive). It's fun, cheap and cheerful.

I chuck this in my bag when I'm out and about, it's very light. I wouldn't use it for anything special (image quality particularly at the edge of the frame isn't great) but it does well for general every day-to-day memories.

Flash is great, fills nicely. Winding mechanism is very fragile and feels it. Beware of fingers creeping into shots, even when you're sure they're well enough out of the way, and of getting your composition correct - it's more difficult to make minor image rotations and crops in post!

The first Reto Pano I received had a fault with the flash, this was returned and was quickly put right by Analogue Wonderland with another sample, this 2nd sample is fine. It's very compact and light and quite well made, I do like the panoramic/full frame option. Don't expect high end SLR build for £35, but with good lighting conditions and a 400 ISO film, result's are reasonable. The image quality drops away in the corners of the frame, but is ok in the centre of the frame, but that's to be expected. I also have 7 other film cameras including a Lomo Apparet, and I feel the Reto Pano gives slightly better quality images than the Lomo. Watch your fingers straying in to the corners of the frame, with the 22mm wide angle lens you have to keep fingers well back, if you've got fingers like bananas maybe look elsewhere. Overall I'm pleased although I've only managed to put one film through the Reto Pano so far, I would give it a cautious thumbs up!

Great entry level wide angle lens for those at the beginning of their 35mm film journey. Not quite as crisp as I'd like, especially at the edges which can end up slightly distorted - even at great distances. But in general, a great camera that I will be using again and again.

What a wee gem this camera has been since receiving it!
I had acquired it for the sole purpose of being able to quickly swap between a fixed prime lens & this ultra wide wee belter!
Taken it to Silvertsone & my wedding this year - full developments are pending, but the experience of using it is truly worth the price of admission!
Feels sturdily made while utilising lots of plastic parts.
Just be careful to keep your finger tips WELL AWAY from the lens… this ultra wide angle has caught me off guard while the majority of my first development 🤣📸

really good point and shoot camera - especially like the transparent design and the built in lens cover. really enjoy having the option of the pano - although will need to crop my scans after having my rolls developed.

There are a few reloadable cameras on the market just now, I would say they range from £30-70, which puts the Reto Pano at the Lower end in terms of price, but I have to say it’s performance out weighs the price point. The lens doesn’t leave the colour bleeding and vinette that you see in most cameras of this style. The big selling point is the pano setting, this is a cropped pano rather than an xpan style, resolution wise it means a cropped in 35mm frame, after scanning with this I am content that there’s no great loss in quality, if you DSLR scan it actually makes like easier. This is great fun and considering there’s a flash, you are getting real value for money.
