both C41 and E6 can give unpredictable otherworldly results

I prefer this film in E6 as I think with some fine-tuning you can achieve almost realistic colours en par with the likes of Kodak. Having developed a few rolls myself and compared it to the results from J Salim's lab I came to a conclusion that the saturation and dynamic range seems to be inconsistent and somewhat dependent on the angle of the light and how much is reflected / direct; in that respect it probably performs a lot better in lower light and longer exposures. this may not be an original Rollei film. It does behave inconsistently roll to roll; ;o\ I would love to go through a few fresh rolls straight from the factory and compare it to the results I have been getting from the rolls I bought via the usual retail route. I have my suspicions that this is in fact a re-spooled (possibly) resized old Kodak? that had been previously frozen. (the ends of the rolls do not always fit into 127 cameras smoothly and 3D printed adapters may not accept them at all)
In general I find it a little too expensive for regular use considering the distribution prices of fujifilm or Kodak. I always wondered why rollei discontinued the 135??
I was hoping they would come up with their own new genuine emulsion to challenge both Kodak and Fujifilm prices/quality. Fugu 400 had unfortunately been halted by a 'legal' action by Fuji so we still do not have anyone to challenge and compete with the two unscrupulous giants.
(It would help if the sample photos had the process indicated clearly, some reviews are also rather ambiguous.. )

Great film

I recently inherited my grandfather’s old Ilford Pixie camera and was thrilled when I finally found somewhere that sold 127 film. Due to my own inexperience with both the camera and film, not all of the photos came out well but those taken outside were very clear and vibrant!
