Beautiful black & white film with strong contrast

Sample image shot using a Pentax 17 half frame camera.

I was thrilled with the results; the film has a strong contrast with beautiful dark tones & silvers. Most of the pictures I shot were of landscapes/nature (like the long grass in the sample photograph) and the results often had a dreamy/unsettling feel to them that I loved.

Most of the images were shot during the early evenings of summer, so the film worked well in these light conditions.

I would recommend having the Analogue Wonderland team develop your film; they did a cracking job with mine and I could not be more pleased with the results.

Superb

Rollei never disappoints! Especially spectacular in highlighting buildings in shots.

Great for Learning Infrared Photography

I bought this film specifically to try and learn more about infrared photography, while at the same time having a film that I could use without the IR filter on, as a capable all-purpose black and white.

And it delivered on both counts - the only issue was I didn't climb the IR learning curve quickly enough, so only at the end of the roll got results where I could work out what I should have been doing!

Nothing to do with the film, everything to do with the photographer, but a film I will go back to time and again as a gently grained film for me to swap between IR and 'normal' with it performing exceptionally well at both!

Samples shot with a Nikon FE and Nikon 50mm.

Great contrast with filters

I enjoy using an Orange filter with Superpan, it deepens the blacks and still retains shadow details. It's great for sunny days

Contrasty but detailed

I've not tried this film for infrared yet but, as a general purpose film, it performed well. It seems to be a contrasty film but with sufficient latitude to allow for recovery of detail in the shadows if required. The grain is good; fairly fine but just about visible which is good since I don't want my film photography to look like it's a converted digital image. These images were taken using a Pentax ME Super at the National Memorial Arboretum.
