Amateur Photography AP Good Service Awards 2026: We Won! 🙌

By Paul McKay

I'm thrilled to have been able to accept a FOURTH CONSECUTIVE AP 'Good Service' Awards at the annual dinner last week.

The Good Service awards are given to photography retailers who consistently deliver excellent experiences and results for customers, and once again we were the only analogue specialist to collect the prize ✊🏼

This follows our successes in 2025, 2024 and 2023 and is testament to two things:

1. the fantastic effort put in by the whole AW team to make sure that our customers get THE best possible experience with analogue photography - from delivering urgent parcels of film to holiday hotels, processing priceless memories caught on 35mm, and recommending cameras and services to elevate the journey - I'm so proud of the feedback we get every day.

2. the love and support you all show us!! This award is based on independent votes that come from within the photographic community, so to win four years in a row means that hundreds of you have invested significant time and effort in putting forward your nominations.

So I want to say a huge thank you to both groups of people: my team who continue to show the best possible service for film folk, and the wonderful community whose passion for analogue photography and our little business keep us going.

Thank you!
- Paul and Mary

Other analogue news

I was delighted (and admittedly slightly surprised - I didn't know I was going on stage until my name was called 😂) to present the annual Film Photographer of the Year award to Mavis CW!

We also cheered loudly when Lomography went up to collect their prize for 'Best Film Camera of the Year' for the new MC-A. I'm so excited for stock to arrive!

And finally a huge thank you to Nigel Atherton, Group Editor of Amateur Photographer, and his whole team for an incredible night!

Here's to 2027 and 5 in a row... 🤞🏼
