The Holga is a cult classic film camera! Deceptively simple to start shooting, but with a wealth of creative options.

The Holga is a 120 film camera, so shoots medium format film. You can use any of the 120 films that we list in store, but I'd recommend you begin with a film of ISO 200 or 400 so that you can shoot it in a variety of weather and lighting situations! The camera has a hot shoe adapter for attaching a simple flash - unleash your nighttime creativity and take photos in the dark!

The Holga 120N Camera comes with a strap, a lens cap, and an internal film mask so that you can choose to shoot twelve 6x6cm images or sixteen 4.5x6cm images.

You can expect heavily vignetted and grainy images from the plastic lens - wonderfully evocative and atmospheric. A fantastic camera for your portfolio.

Available in traditional black, or a dazzling red/white combo.

Great fun

The Holga 120N is an exemplar of how limitations can change your approach to photography. Having just an approximate shutter speed or bulb, a fixed plastic meniscus lens, a very vague focusing system, and approximate framing natually limits the sort of thing you can capture, but it's amazing how this makes you interpret scenes differently. It really is a blast to use, and it can help to recapture the fun informality that many of us start our photographic experiences with, before getting bogged down in MTF charts and optimum apertures. The images naturally don't have corner to corner sharpness, but being on 120 with a smaller magnification ratio than 35mm for any given print, the centre can be surprisingly sharp. Overall, it's a lot of fun for not very much money, and well worth a go if you haven't tried it!

Plastic classic

Lovely and light and fun to use. The simple controls make it easy to focus and getting good compositions.

Great fun

I love this little 120 camera it's easy and fun to use and compared to my other cameras it's much lighter. I often take this with me as it's easy to use and for the price I'm not worried to lug it around in my backpack all day.

Real Classic Will Never Die

Great classic one - still, one of the easiest ways to get into medium format!

My favorite camera of all time

I keep one or two Holgas in my bag at all time. Weird, dreamy, strange images come out of this thing. Is it unpredictable? No, not really. Can you manage the images that you take? Yes. Will you need gaffer tape? Only for the red window. But it's good to tape down the hinges on the side. It's a thing of magic. I love it.
