Returning to an old favourite

I didn't use Delta 400 for ages because, not having a darkroom, and with more limited access to commercial development, I focused on digital for some time. When I started using film, I avoided it for quite a while, until I came across a shot I'd taken with my Rolleiflex in Venice. Not my most original shot, but a nice, classic one all the same, my own scan. The quality of Delta 400 is obvious, especially in120, such lovely tonality.

One of my favourite BNW films

I love the fine grain, and punchy look without being overly constrasty

A giant amongst film

Best of all in medium format for incredible detail. Sample negative shown was rated at 800 ISO and developed in Adox XT-3 (an Xtol clone) at a dilution of 1+1.

Smooth

I have used Delta 400 in 35mm before and had good results. Medium format yields similar good results. It is sufficiently fast to cope with most things and being medium format means grain is kept to a minimum. It gives a good contrast and tonal range.

Fine grain mastery from Ilford

An amazing and affordable 120 filmstock from Ilford.
It gives ultra-fine grain for very sharp shots, good tonal range for the blacks, and decent exposure in various lighting conditions. It's also perfect for portraits.

Highly recommend!!
