Cambridge Photo Walk 2025

This Kodak Pro Image 100 colour film was a real pleaser for me. I used an OM-3 with a 24mm 1.8. Not the very best choice for a blazingly bright day, the wide angle was more than I needed as I usually go in for details. I wanted to see whether all the kit worked together. The Kodak 100 Pro Image was probably a better film than I made of it. I was following the meterage on the camera but perhaps should have shut down the aperture more often. When I viewed the scans I was a bit disappointed but once they were downloaded the colours shone and really made me smile. I like the natural feel of this film and am looking forward to using it on a camera I know better.

The Big Film Photowalk 2025 and Kodak Pro-Image 100

A couple of weekends ago we had The Big Film Photo Walk organised by Analogue Wonderland and located along the Southbank in London. For those of us choosing to go for the film and walk bundle we had the opportunity to shoot with Kodak Pro-Image 100. It's a favourite film of mine for summer bright days with great rendition of colours. I chose my Olympus OM2n and the 28mm Zuiko lens. It's not a lens I shoot with much as I find it a little too wide. I usually gor for a 50mm. The wide lens though was ideal for the crowded London Southbank and the Pro-Image 100 film didn't dissapoint in the the bright conditions. A great walk and good to meet up with friends at the end for a chat. Thanks A.W. and look forward to the next one.

Windsor scans are here!

Thank you all for taking part to last Saturday's Big Film Photowalk in Windsor and Eton! Here are some of my pictures taken with the Kodak Pro Image 100. Overall, the colour rendering is what you would expect from this range of Kodak film, which is pretty similar to Kodak Gold 200 and ColorPlus 200.

A Great Day Out

We took in a long walk looking at the nature, history and other interesting things around the south of Stonehaven. This was aided by perfectly warm and sunny weather!

I often find it hard to open up and talk about photography with people as in many cases I meet with total disinterest. Instead, here, an open feeling developed among us as we discussed cameras, techniques and recommendations on gear and services. We were all open to continuing to chat after the walk.

So, if you want to meet people who share your passion, why not comes to one of these photowalks?

Amazing group in St Albans

As always, these events are brilliant fun and full of good energy. It was an absolute pleasure to host the walk in St Albans yesterday and to spend the day with such a varied and welcoming group of photographers. What stood out to me was not just the creativity on show, but the spirit of generosity—people were constantly sharing tips, ideas, and knowledge, whether about photography or the local area.

Even in the more casual conversations with people outside the group, there was a real sense of curiosity and connection. I ended up learning so much about St Albans—from hidden spots to local history—just through chatting with others as we wandered and photographed.

These events always remind me how valuable it is to connect through shared passions. I’m already looking forward to the next one.
