I shot at box speed and did normal development in D-76. Tones seem very smooth with hardly any grain. Seems really grain value. Easy to work with, dried straight. But I haven't compared with FP4 just yet so see if that's worth the difference.

I have had the chance to shoot Kentmere 200 in my pinhole camera, a Hasselblad 500 c/m and more recently a Holga GCFN with flash to capture portraits of local wrestlers backstage at a recent show (pics below). This film likes a lot of light and produces images with good grain and nice contrast - I develop my B&W at home in Rodinal.
For the price and value for money, this and Kentmere 100 are becoming my go-to medium format films.

A great all rounder in both 35mm and 120 forms, This is the first roll of 120 I have processed after now quite a number of 35 rolls since the recent introduction of this film. Very impressed with the ability of this film for such a low price. Images taken on a 1953 Ensign Ranger Special. The sample shots attached were developed and scanned commercially.

I've used Kentmere quite a bit over the past few years, so was quite excited when they released this 200 speed film. I wasn't disappointed. Everything I've shot with this emulsion has come out with gorgeous tones, and very flexible for working with once scanned. Definitely going to be one of my go-to films; and at a great price, too!

At this price point and the quality that you gt from this film, how can you not give it a 10/10 all the stars available.

It is a beautful black and white film stock that has a fine grain, captures so much fine detail and best of all, it gets those shadows! For the price, the quality of the images and the versatility, I challenge you to find anything wrong with Kentmere 200... BECAUSE YOU CAN'T

I'd already tried the 35mm version of this film, so hoped I wouldn't be disappointed by the bigger 120 roll. Safe to say I wasn't. The value for money of this excellent film is astonishing.

It gives nice contrast (better than its 100 and 400 stablemates), but a low / smooth grain that puts some other 200s to shame.

Very pleased (and even more pleased that I have a second roll still to put through my Yashica 635).

V v happy with this film. I used a lot of K400 35mm when starting out but drifted away in favour of more contrasty, crisper Ilford offerings albeit at greater expense (Pan F Plus, Delta 100 etc). K200, especially in 120, definitely tempts me back though. Developed at home in Rodinal it’s a really cheap, really good option.

Great to see a 200 speed film in 120. I shot a couple of rolls at box speed and was really happy with the results. I’ll definitely be buying some more and am also tempted to get the bulk roll when it becomes available.

YO ! The KENTMERE 200 in 120 is a Great Addition to the range -- I have used it in my 1956 ROLLEIFLEX T with the 16 -on kit and processed it in a Staining Formula 'Exactol Lux Long Life' similar to Pyrocat HD . The Negs were GREAT ! Box Speed was attanded No Problemo and under a x6 Magnifier the Defintion was AMAZING ! Too HOT at the moment to do Darkroom Prints so I scanned with CANON 9000F Mk II + Vuescan Pro + PhotoShop 7 and put them onto FLICKR. Recommended ! PS -- it works well with a Yellow Filter for Landscape type Subjects . No Filter for 'Street Photos ' of People though .

I've gone through a few of these rolls lately and have pushed and pulled them and shot over and under box speed to discover what it can do. I've not been disappointed and although the film seems rather cheap I would recommend it to any analogue photographer no matter what your ability. I'm very pleased with the results so far.

when this film was released I rushed to grab some to shoot at a car show and I was not disappointed. Paired with with my trusty Bronica ETR it performed well and developed nicely. Will be using it again soon

When news of this film first surfaced a few weeks ago, I knew I had to try it. I shot the 120 format on a bright, sunny afternoon in May, keen to see how it handled light and detail.

ISO 200 is an unusual speed for black and white film, and it’s a welcome addition to the medium format world. The negatives hold up beautifully—grain is minimal thanks to the larger format, and the film renders a lovely balance of contrast and tonality. Midtones are particularly well-handled, and fine detail in foliage and texture is impressively preserved.

In the darkroom, this film really shines. Its tonal range prints effortlessly, and it’s far better suited to traditional printing than either of the other Kentmere options. In many ways, it feels closer in quality to Ilford’s Delta films. I’ll be looking into developing data to see how far it can be pushed.

Overall, Kentmere 200 in 120 format is a real pleasure to shoot and print. Smooth, reliable, and expressive—it’s a film I’ll definitely keep stocked in my fridge.

With slightly higher contrast than the 100 and 400 variants, this is an excellent budget film that still produces excellent results
