Gorgeous film

I purchased this film with a specific late night trip to Soho in mind - sadly the trip fell through but I'd already loaded the film. So I took advantage of the change in plans to photograph a real variety of subjects and conditions to test how it performs best.

Personally, low light street photography is what I'll be using future rolls for. The red halation is strong and really gorgeous. That said, it works nicely for daylight shots too, particularly architectural as the blue tones lend well to this, and is nice and sharp.

I'll definitely be repurchasing and using for night street photograph, as I originally intended.

Painterly all rounder

This is my first roll of Cinestill 800T. Unlike most others here, I did not shoot this at night or in clubs, I used it like any other colour film. I shot it at ISO800 in the evening and ISO500 during the day in a range of weather conditions and had it processed normally. It delivered great detail and superb colour regardless. It may be necessary to tweak the white balance frame by frame more than other film to get the best out of it. The grain is fine and the convenience of an ISO800 film takes some beating. I was a bit unsure about this film before using it, expecting it to be a bit limited or temperamental but it was neither. I particularly liked the way it rendered clouds - rather painterly I thought. I will certainly be using it again.

Editorial Direct Flash Portrait Magic

I Used CineStill 800T for Some direct flash indoor/evening & night time portraits at this recent elopement shoot in Blackpool, I wanted to create a more editorial yet candid film feel but also Capture the neon glow that's associated with both Blackpool and this incredible 35mm film. As you can see from the attached images our vision was captured perfectly, CineStill 800T might actually edge out Portra for my wedding evening/indoor photography, I might also need to try the 400D at my next shoot.

cinestill 800t

This is a great film for low light environments I used it at a concert where it handled the spotlights very well and was still able to shoot the same roll outside by compensating for the extra iso.

Great both in sunlight and artificial light

I use this both outdoors and inside. The colours are wonderful, and the speed is such a bonus. Surprisingly good for portraits in daylight as well
